Referral Pathways
Information and forms for current referral schemes which are active within the East Sussex area.
WOPEC Accreditation
Codes for WOPEC accreditation can be obtained by emailing the Administrator. Codes are available for the following areas:
Cataract
Glaucoma
Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS)
Low Vision
In East Sussex, the only mandatory WOPEC accreditation is for the cataract pathway for Optometrists who see patients post-operatively after surgery and the MECS pathway. Optometrists who work in East Sussex and have successfully completed the WOPEC cataract accreditation should download their certificates and email them to the Administrator. This will ensure that their names are added to the hospital lists of accredited Optometrists. For those Optometrists who have completed the MECS modules please refer to the MECS section on the website to see how to start seeing patients under the scheme
